Um yeah

Sooooo...it's been a coupla weeks since I last posted. I have such lovely plans for pictures and posts and features and I've unfortunately been waylaid by a serious case of tendonitis in my hands, wrists and arms. It got so bad that one night, I couldn't sleep cos the pain was so bad. But several visits from my massage therapist pretty much resolved what was going on with my right side, but the left....not so good. I'll gave to call Joe and see him two or three times this next week.

You'd normally think left side, not so bad, but I'm left handed. BOO. I wasn't able to finish the Christmas knitting, nor can I pick up the sticks now. I can't really do a whole lot of anything including keyboarding.

I do have a whole whack of magnets started on a base of poker chips. All that remains is to administer the top coat of Diamond Glaze and add magnets. I will share photos.

I've been trying to brainstorm today about creative things I can do while sidelined and I came across a grand idea while blog surfing today. I know that i can use a glue stick and scissors, so I'm going to work on and hopefully complete a design journal this week.

If it works, it would be a way to deal with something most all highly creative types have scads of...and that's as far as I'm going right now. Should this be a winner of an idea, I'll create a tutorial (MY FIRST!) and share it here. I'm excited. I have a sneaking feeling that I'll be climbing the stairs to my studio early tomorrow to start gathering supplies (and glue sticks!).

I told you about my splurge before Christmas...the Cricuit? It's supposed to be delivered this next week (woo!) and I've decided on one more splurge. And here it is...
The Nikon D3000. An entry level DSRL. Kind of like "DSRL for Dummies". It will actually give you the directions for taking the best photographs for your light level etc etc. *That's* what I've always struggled with and this camera might be my saving grace. It does have a completely manual mode for when I'm ready to come out of "Dummies" mode.
I'll still keep my Nikon Coolpix close at hand and probably in my purse, but I really want to be ablr to take the best photographs that I can for my blog and myself. I have a really good 35mm SRL but...it's 35mm. I do have a few rolls of 35mm gathering dust in my freezer and I should use them before I lose them.
Oops. Rambling, Sorry...heh.
Going for now, my hands are hurty.
